  • Provide opportunities for youths to participate in team sports in a safe, well-supervised environment
  • Promote the ideals of good sportsmanship, fair play, teamwork and "healthy" competition
  • To foster and encourage community pride through local youth sports.
The Coconut Creek Football Program was founded in 1997. The program initially only offered Flag Football and Cheerleading for the first five years of it's existence. In 2002 the program would add Tackle Football and Cheerleading as Coconut Creek was granted entry into the American Youth Football League (AYFL) as it's 12th and final member*. The league is a proud member of the AYFL, widely considered the preeminent youth football organization in South Florida. Coconut Creek Football Program Founder Ross Sinel is the current AYFL president.

With the addition of the tackle program, the Coconut Creek Football Program now serves over 500 children in our tackle, flag and cheerleading programs and has over 100 volunteers and sponsors. The program would adopt the Eagle as it's mascot. The Eagle was chosen not only because it is a symbol of strength, honor and integrity but also for a local touch. A pair of Eagles was spotted in the pine scrubs in Sabal Pines Park, the Eagle's future home field. Navy Blue, Vegas Gold and White were chosen has the Eagle's official colors.

*In 2006 the AYFL would change it's By-Laws to allow additional teams and has now since expanded to 16 teams.
